Gregg Mac Neil Baxter
The Platform Builder
Expertise & Perspective: Gregg Baxter (co-founder) brings extensive coding experience spanning multiple technology generations, from early development challenges to modern AI-assisted workflows. His perspective combines technical depth with entrepreneurial vision, focusing on creating enterprise-grade platforms that address security, scalability, and environmental sustainability concerns in AI development.
His low-code/no-code platform UES.io was one of the finalists for the Awards 2025 and Gregg will join the Swiss Delegation to Raise Summit, Paris in July.
Key Insights at Panoramai:
On Swiss Innovation Ambition: « Swiss made. We're going to show the rest of the world when we're talking about Switzerland being behind in the AI race. This is something that we're going to take to the rest of the world and show them what we can do in Switzerland. » Baxter positioned his company as challenging perceptions of Swiss technological capabilities.
On Enterprise Transformation: « We're going to change the way enterprises build and use software. We believe that enterprises and corporations are paying too much for SaaS. That’s going to change, they're going to change because of all of the features that they are not even using and sometimes missing that they pay too much for ues.io Agents are going to change that» He articulated a vision for disrupting traditional enterprise software economics.
On Legacy System Integration & AI: « People are scared of this. Why? Security infrastructure, data, legacy systems, loads of data, large corporations years old, loads of investment in all their legacy based infrastructures. You can't throw that away, right? So we address that like this... You can keep your investment running, take your legacy systems and bring their data into their white label version of ues.io and in their own secure environment. » Baxter addressed the critical challenge of AI adoption in established enterprises.
On Platform Architecture: « We went open source, we built a container based architecture and we built our own runtime. So you can host ues.io on premise, or on any infrastructure you want like Microsoft, Google, AWS, Digital Ocean and of course on premise so you can choose where you want it and then you can choose which agents, which LLMs you're going to interact and integrate with. » He detailed their technical approach to be flexible and a secure deployment.
On Rapid Development Capabilities: « You can build an app in 30 seconds. Very secure, multi tenant. So each department, with our white label option can be a tenant such as the accounts department with their apps, hr with their apps, marketing department with their apps, etc etc, professional development and infrastructure teams, co-creation, work together. » Baxter demonstrated concrete productivity benefits while maintaining enterprise security standards.
On Environmental Responsibility and Vibe Coding: « Also consider your impact on our earth and the IT footprint that you leave behind. It's okay to build something and have fun with it, but don't just do it all the time... Every time you build an app, you build up a whole infrastructure. I think it's a bit silly. » He uniquely emphasized sustainability concerns in AI development practices.
On AI as a Productivity Tool: « AI is not going to replace any coder. AI is a tool in every aspect of business. It's like going from your early grade at school where you're working with a pencil and doing maths and the next grade you get a calculator and the next one you get a scientific calculator. » Mac Neil Baxter provided accessible analogies for understanding AI's role as augmentation rather than replacement.
On Vibe Coding Security Vulnerabilities: «What we see is that many enterprises are scared of crazy code coming into their tech stack unformatted. And because many vibe coding users don't have the experience of knowing how it should be formatted, this becomes a vulnerability. » He identified specific enterprise concerns about uncontrolled AI code generation.
On Controlled Innovation: « You want to be in a position where you've got that infrastructure really controlled with a proper dev-sec making sure there's no rubbish coming into your system and making it vulnerable... With ues.io you can type and say, put a button over here, make the color, give it a shadow, give me a connection to the database. But it's actually talking to our protected Gen Bot system, which is stopping it from doing something stupid. » Baxter described their approach to guided AI development.
On Development Experience Evolution: « I'm an older coder, as you can see... We noticed that automated code generation that there are some places that it got it right and many more not and we only really picked it up because we had that experience to see. » His veteran perspective informed their platform's quality control mechanisms.
On Model Integration: « We found fantastic. And we're still using that in part of the outer side of our container when we are changing the view. We're launching our agent marketplace and at the moment we've got our design agent in Beta. » Mac Neil Baxter detailed their sophisticated approach to integrating multiple AI models within controlled environments.
On Conference Impact: « Thanks for this wonderful conference. I've never been so inspired. You always hear about these AI conferences. You arrive there and it's boring, same things over and over. This has been amazing. Well done to Raphäel and his Memoways team. » His genuine enthusiasm for the Panoramai summit reflected the quality of discourse and networking opportunities.
Strategic Positioning: Baxter represents the infrastructure innovator who understands that successful AI adoption requires more than powerful models—it demands comprehensive platforms that address security, governance, scalability, and environmental concerns simultaneously.
Technical Philosophy: He advocates for controlled experimentation environments where enterprises can safely explore AI capabilities without compromising security or creating technical debt. His approach emphasizes sustainable development practices and responsible resource utilization.
